Thanksgiving is a depressing holiday. We are giving thanks to the indigenous people who saved the colonizers who murdered all but a very small percentage of them- including women and children.
If we were a fair and just society- we would eat dry crackers and water and have a remembrance day for the people who were murdered and whose land we are living on- while they live on reservations with no electricity and no running water.
