Sunday Video Game Reading
I wrote words about Diablo 4, Final Fantasy 16, Zelda, and more Diablo 4
Happy Sunday, nerds. How are all of you?
I wanted to improve your Sunday in the way that I alone am capable of but sharing some recent video game columns I’ve written. They’re intended to be funny, but are they? Are they really? That’s more or less for you to decide.
To kick it off out of any discernible order, I wrote a monologue from the perspective of every villager in Diablo 4. Every. Single. Villager.
In this column, I discuss how Etrian Odyssey, a bright, happy RPG, goes way, way, way harder than Diablo 4 ever will.
I also wrote about how Final Fantasy 16’s opening hours make it seem like one of the funniest games of all time, despite how very serious it takes itself.
And finally, here’s something about how, no matter what else I try to play, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom pulls me back in.
Have a great rest of your day!
The Zelda article hits home. I'm the same, but after playing Breath of the Wild, I went into this game straight without worrying about beating the game. I relax, walk around, explore, talk to people and do random side quests, and I'm probably not even halfway through the main quests. I beat two of the temples and when I unlocked the third one I went back to exploring. It's more fun, and I don't need the game to end yet. It's the kind of game I know I'll probably still be playing two years from now. It's so much fun!
