Hello! I’ve mentioned before that I was asked by the folks at StoryLoom to write a short visual novel for their new app. First of all, StoryLoom is extremely fun and easy to use. I’m not paid to say that part. My contract is over, kids! I wrote my story! The money is already in the bag!
And guess what? Now you can play the complete game without ever having to look me in the eye to say what you thought of it!
As you can see from the large graphic, the game is called Xylox Tonight! It’s about a late night show in space. You play one of the writers. You’re trying to make a show and keep your job. Depending on your choices you might have a dream about a very hot demon named Gary. These are the stakes you’re working with.
I really loved working with StoryLoom and I’m pretty happy with how this visual novel turned out. And if you’re not into games, it’s actually very easy to play. Also, “novel” is pretty grandiose for a relatively quick sci-fi comedy story. But if you want to spend a couple hours goofing off, take a read!
