NOT APRIL FOOLS: My Book Is Out Today! And Book Tour Dates!

I genuinely feel like I had to write "Not April Fools." Sorry.

Hey, folks!

I know this is a weird time in the world to be promoting a comedy book, but here we go! As a friend said, “Don’t let them win by giving up on your own work.” And that was an actual living friend.

Anyway, “Good Game, No Rematch” is now out and available in stores wherever books are sold! You can get it in hardcover, digital, and audio - with the audio book read by myself. If you need some cotton candy during the apocalypse, I can help.

What is the book? I’m glad you asked, person I made up. It’s a collection of comedy bits and stories about video games and how I’ve humiliated myself throughout my life with them. If you’ve ever wanted to hear about a paintball game at Nintendo of America’s old headquarters gone horribly awry, this book is for you. If you ever wanted to hear about trying to convince the prom committee to add Dance Dance Revolution, this book is for you.

Since you’re already here on the Substack, I can break from the promotional voice and add that this isn’t just for hardcore video game fans with the latest hardware. If you’ve ever enjoyed games at any point in your life, there’s a solid chance you’ll have a good time with the book. Even if you don’t like games but do like my writing, I pretty much explain everything.

You can now buy the book on Amazon, Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and really anywhere you can get a book. Heck, ask your local library to procure a copy!

APRIL 18TH, CORAL SPRINGS, FLORIDA: I’ll be at my hometown Barnes & Noble doing a signing and answering questions. If you’re local, or know me from the school days, I’d love to see you out there!

MAY 5TH, LOS ANGELES: I’ll be at Book Soup discussing “Good Game, No Rematch” with Adam Conover of Adam Ruins Everything fame (as well as his very good ongoing work). The book will have been out a month by then, so by my facial expression you should have a pretty good read of how it’s going.

Either way, thank you everyone for the kind words and support through the making of this book. It’s stupid. It’s silly. It’s not that important. But it was a lot of fun to do.
